5 reasons writing beats blogging
September 12th 2008 00:53
1.
Good writing is good blogging. The reverse is not necessarily true.
2.
Good writing is the only way to get messages across without the risk of misunderstanding or ambiguity.
3.
Bloggers wouldn't know cool if it bit them on the participle. A writer knows what a gerund is (or is interested enough to find out). How cool is that!
4.
Writers are more environmentally aware. They don't waste words, exclamation marks or question marks.
5.
Writers don't need 10 reasons to state their superiority over bloggers. Five is perfectly adequate.

For the Sake of Argument
My Apologetics
If I write a blog then I am a writer but actually not a writer.
Good and bad are meaningless to me because many of the books that I was told were wondeeeful ended up being pretentious crap.
Maybe there is an objective test we can apply.
Perhaps the crap to not crap ratio.
