Happy Milestone to Orble
March 27th 2010 01:07
Who would have thought it, way back in the middle of last decade, that little Orble, the newcomer on the blogging block, would grow into such a strapping internet presence?
Today Orble has cruised past the 10,000 blog milestone. We are growing fast. We are a growing voice. We are a growing community of writers and commentators and critics and comedians and poets and artists.
Not to mention Norm, who fits into no known category. Or all of them.
Orble is a healthy outlet for the creative minds of many people, and the number of people is growing.
Ten thousand and counting aboard the Good Ship Orble. Congratulations to those who built her, and Happy Milestone to all who sail in her.

Wow. I've got no idea how many blogs Orble had when I joined up two and a half years ago, but I do know it wasn't anywhere near ten thousand. Time flies... many people have joined us, many people have left us, and lots of interesting blogs have popped up in the last year or so.
I'm proud to be a part of Orble, not just because my blog is getting read, but because I've formed some friendships here that I wouldn't have found anywhere else. And I've even reconnected to people I knew a long time ago. The joys of the internet.
Happy milestone

Nor would Orble be the same without your kind enthusiasm. We'll get Jon to throw a party when Orble reaches 100,000, and we shall meet and clink a glass.

Then let's hope the growth takes a while, because I can't afford a plane ticket to Australia right now...

LIke Dianna - when I signed up eons ago - I think Jon knew everyone on a first name basis.
Wonder what the weather's like in Maldives this time of year
Seriously - there's not too many on-line communities as well behaved and tolerant as those who gravitate to these shores.

Back when Jon knew everyone by their first name, he'd probably have been happy to accept still being in business after four years, let alone 10,000 blogs.
Like AdSense earnings, let's hope his second 10,000 takes much less time.

If it wasn't for you, Orble would still be weeks away from achieving the milestone

I am happy to be with such an easy blogging group. Easy in the sense I can just let my words flow and not worry about an editor looking over my shoulder.
Orble is a true heaven for writers who want to express themselves freely and make some money while they do it.

Ok Ok, I'm leaving, see you all to-morrow, I love looking at my own work. For almost free as it appears to be.
I'm right into numbers, so well done Jon.

You are high-ranking officers on the good ship Orble.
It appears that the captain, however, doesn't like this post - it has been suddenly and mysteriously removed from the front page.
Ahoy out there - any explanation please?

Thanks for my promotion to high ranking officer, YAY
Also - 10000 and still advertising for more - this could get huge. I wish I had set up an Orble - 50% income on 10000 blogs is the biggest pyramid I have seen
Me loves it though - heaps of fun and never something I thought I would love doing.
