Minding my own business
March 13th 2009 08:34
I can draw breath. A very deep breath. After two weeks of frenzy, the new business has both a finished web page and its own corporate blog.
We created these things. It's an extraordinary feeling.
As I have mentioned previously, I have formed a corporate blogging consultancy named Salient Point. It comes with a partner who moves at the speed of one of the more prominent comets, and he has created the web page. It is an astonishing thing, with moving messages and sliding tabs and interactive links.
It feels like a portal, with the world on one side and me on the other.
Well, me and Speedy. He seems impressed that I have written all the content; I am in awe of the web entity he has created as a vehicle for that content.
And on the home page, at the top over on the right, is a very important little tab. It says, simply, Blog.
As I have also mentioned previously, I started blogging just eight months ago on Orble, and now suddenly I am presuming to enter the board rooms of companies, large and small, and tell them how Salient Point can add unique value to their promotional and branding efforts because we know what needs to be known about building a high-end, high-profile corporate blog.
We do, too. I won't pretend it isn't intimidating, but between Speedy's IT and business acumen and energy, and my words, we can do this.
All we need now is a few of you to visit the blog and leave a comment wishing us luck.
And clients. We need some clients too.
